The Team

The client is currently looking for a Sales Executive to fill a new sales position with the Market Technology Americas Sales Team. As Sales Executive, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets, high customer satisfaction and further expanding Nasdaq business in the New Markets segment. You will work with highly motivated and skilled colleagues in an international and fast paced environment.

Your role and responsibilities

This is a new sales position that is being established for someone to aggressively approach the New Markets sector to sell the clients newest SaaS based technology. You should be familiar with digital tech and digital platforms which will be your focus.

To suit this position you should have a highly developed social competence and be a proven team player. You must be a decisive and a solid seller and you must have a willingness to acquire an in depth understanding of the the clients product range as required in your dialog with the customer and prospects. We anticipate that you are persistent in solving complex problems and have an analytical and result-oriented approach.

You will need the ability to build and maintain effective long term relationships with a broad customer base in the New Markets space. Your skills in understanding and communicating will be core to your success, as well as your experience in financial technology.

As Sales Executive, you are expected to generate new business with new clients as well as up-sell additional business with existing clients. You are expected to close annual and quarterly sales targets in order to meet individual/regional quotas and company business objectives

You will need the following skills and experience

  • Academic degree corresponding to a Master in e.g. engineering or finance
  • Minimum 7-10 years extensive experience selling large and complex multifaceted projects.
  • SaaS or managed service sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience from profit and loss calculations and basic account management financials
  • Excellent communication including negotiating and presentation skills in a client facing environment
  • Excellent language skills in written and spoken English.

And it would be great if you have experience with

  • Focus of this sales position will be developing technology opportunities for the Nasdaq Market Technology’s suite of products and services in the New Markets sectors i.e. non-financial markets (digital assets, supply chain, ad-tech, insurance, etc).   • Build customer relationships on multiple levels
  • Be responsible for the clients short and long term sales strategy within your customer territory and interaction with the customers/prospects.
  • Achieve revenue targets by increasing revenue intake per account.
  • Experience in negotiating technology contracts.
  • Initiate and drive Customer Executive Meetings
  • Understand and know customer’s market segments and territory as well as our competition
  • Conducts regular status and strategy meetings with the customer’s senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization’s product/service strategies.
  • Is proactive within Nasdaq as it relates to new product development.
  • Takes ownership of problem resolution, if customer issues cannot be solved through normal channels.
  • Proactively lead an extended Nasdaq team of professionals that together manages all business activities with an existing customer or prospect.
